Originally from Idaho, Wendy is an active member of the Caledonian Society of New Orleans, serving this
group in various capacities, including President, Secretary and most recently as Treasurer. Wendy and
husband Bob joined the society and its dance group in the late 1970’s and in the early 1980’s, Wendy
became the group’s teacher. She is a long-time member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society,
Carolinas Branch, and the Teacher’s Association of Canada. Wendy holds a Level 1 RSCDS teaching
certificate (formerly known as a Preliminary Certificate) and continues to attend dance workshops in
other areas. Currently the Scottish Country Dance class in New Orleans meets on Friday evenings
September through June. Newcomers are welcome and this class is primarily a social low impact dance
class.
Wendy is a retired licensed and nationally certified counselor. She is the proud parent of two married
children and has three grandchildren.
