The inaugural location for Backyard Rebellion PRO/AM OPEN Rebellion!
We encourage ALL STRENGTH ATHLETES to compete!
Scores will be submitted.
All other amateur classes will compete on Sunday October 13th. Registration is $40 and traditional awards of swords/axes and medals will be earned.
Registration for all classes includes one free guest admission to the festival and lunch in our Catering Tent for the Athlete on the day they compete.
Order of events and what to expect for the “Open” on October 12th.
1) There will be three classes competing. The Open, the Women’s Open, and the Master’s Open.
2) The Master’s Open will be a Coed game. Men will throw men’s implements and women will throw the women’s implements.
3) Registration has no cap. At the beginning of the day each group will have their own stone/weight for distance trig where everyone will throw Open Stone and Heavy Weight for Distance.
4) The top 15 in each group after these two events will be allowed to continue the rest of the day. Each group will then finish light weight for distance and then rotate to different events. The Open will go to hammers, the Open Women Caber, the Master’s Open heights. If the total number of athletes does not exceed 15, there will not be a cut.
5) Athletes who do not make the cut will be given the opportunity to continue throwing for numbers only in a separate group.
6) Each event win will have a cash payout of $200 minimum.
7) Overall standings will have a minimum payout of:

8- Caber will not count towards the overall standings if AD deems athletes in the class are too inexperienced to handle championship level cabers. Caber will still have a payout for the winner of the event.
9) Judges for this event will be: Merl Lawless, Steve Conway, Dave Summers, and Jayson Tisdale.

12) This is our attempt to do things a little differently and attract more eyes and competitors to this sport. We would like to see this model spread to other regions and see where we can take it.
13) All money received through sponsorship and registration is going into paying for extra staff and back into the payout. Monetary awards can increase with more funds.
