The Alabama Academy of Irish Dance, a non- profit organization, is a dedicated group of dancers that love to share the joy of Irish dance and music with whoever is willing to be entertained and is up for joining in the fun.
AAID was founded in 2002 by teacher Erin Scherer and several of the local dancers.
Upon leaving in 2004, Erin gave the reins to Molly Hand, our current teacher. Molly, along with her student and fellow dancer Kim Davis, holds classes and coordinates AAID performances and school enrichments throughout Alabama to promote and teach the Irish arts to the general public.
